Please read Principal Jon's letter about the incident in Pittsburgh

    Dear TC Community,

Many families in our community were deeply impacted by the Pittsburgh Tragedy this past weekend.  Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims, their families and the entire Jewish community.  It is imperative that we come together and support one another after events where a group is specifically targeted for their religious beliefs, race or ethnicity.  As a school community we will continue to create a welcoming environment that teaches kindness, tolerance, and inclusion.  We are committed to a school culture that ensures that every student feels safe.

We encourage students and families to have conversations around intolerance and hate.  We know that some students may be confused and upset about this recent tragedy and our current climate of intolerance. Please let your students know that it is okay to ask questions and have conversations around discrimination.

Thornton Creek does not tolerate any type of anti-semitism, religious bigotry, racism or discrimination.

Please take time to reflect on our wonderful community.  Reach out to your neighbors and community to support one another.  Let’s work together against hate and raise a more thoughtful, kind, and empathetic generation of future leaders.
